2022 has been a challenging, yet generous year.

Before we step into 2023, let us remind ourselves the things we are grateful for that happened in 2022, the challenges we overcame, the opportunities that showed up, the difficulties that made us stronger, the people and partners that were there to support us.

At Startup Moldova Foundation, to 2022 we are grateful for:

• Our team, which has expanded to 4 people this year;
• 2 new independent members joined the board of directors, adding to our international exposure and experience, both based in UK, working for leading startups and tech companies;
• The tech startup database reached 169 startups;
• We established partnerships with international companies which now provide perks to Moldovan startups, among which are Notion, Miro, Bubble, DocuSend and 14 more;
• We established partnerships with foreign and international startup community builders, such as Impact Hub Bucharest, Startup Georgia, Techstars, MeOut, Magnetic Latvia, Startup Genome, Startup Blink – to name a few;
• We launched the Digital Impact Program for Cahul region, with an award budget of 400.000 EUR;
• We got closer to the tech startup community, meeting one by one most of them and writing individual interview-articles for over 15 startups, here is one of the last ones;
• We got closer to foreign investors, talking monthly to a new venture fund within the online Talk to an Investor sessions;
• We organized one Startup Weekend with 70 offline participants;
• We ran 4 offline founders meetups;
• In cooperation with Technovator and gyneco.md we run the first HealthTech Forum;
• We organized a Bootcamp for 10 social startups and social businesses, in cooperation with ImpactHub Bucharest;
• We prepared the content for 5 lessons on startups which will be implemented for all schools in Moldova, where pupils chose to learn about entrepreneurship;
• We started delivering a program for startup education for 300 kids in 5 regions of Moldova.
• May 2023 be full of new impactful initiatives, may it be peaceful and blissful!
