Short Description

The Community Manager will work full-time, focusing on building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with Moldovan tech startups. Responsibilities include organizing small community events, developing and updating the startup database, collecting and analyzing ecosystem data, and preparing the annual Startup Monitor report.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

●     Build and maintain strong relationships with Moldovan tech startups, understanding their needs, challenges, and product/service development progress.

●     Coordinate projects aimed at strengthening and expanding the Moldovan tech startup community, including its connections with both local and international networks.

●     Design and implement online and offline events to engage the community.

●     Lead the development and regular updating of a comprehensive startup database, ensuring accurate and timely data collection on company stage, funding, team, sector, and growth indicators.

●     Design and implement methodologies and tools (e.g., surveys, interviews, open data analysis) to continuously gather insights from startups and ecosystem stakeholders.

●     Analyze collected data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the ecosystem; prepare data-driven reports to support strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.

●     Coordinate the research, drafting, and publication of the annual Startup Monitor, including ecosystem mapping, founder surveys, investment trends, and policy analysis.

●     Collaborate with the Communications Officer to promote community activities, share ecosystem insights, and ensure visibility for startup achievements.

●     Provide feedback and propose improvements to enhance engagement and communication between Startup Moldova and the startup community.

●     Contribute to the development of project proposals aimed at expanding ecosystem support services and attracting external resources.

●     Track and share information on relevant external opportunities such as tenders, calls, accelerator programs, and international events.

●     Identify and recommend relevant international best practices and case studies that could be replicated or adapted to the Moldovan context.

●     Support the Investment Officer in facilitating matchmaking between startups and investors.

●     Perform other tasks as needed to support the growth and sustainability of Moldova’s startup ecosystem.

 

 Requirements and qualifications:

●     Work experience in planning and organizing offline and online events;

●     Experience in HR or talent-related programs is considered an advantage, particularly in startup or tech environments.

●     Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;

●     Fascinated by technological innovations, new trends in technology and human interaction;

●     Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

●     Energetic, open personality, with positive thinking and behavior, result-oriented;

●     Passion towards startups and desire to support their development in Moldova;

●     Fluent proficiency in Romanian and English. Russian is an advantage.

●     Advanced skills in using digital platforms for planning, organization, teamwork relevant to the job (for example: Notion, Google drive, Microsoft Office, Canva, Airtable, etc.).

 

 

Position Details:

●     Location: Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, Banulescu Bodoni street, 61 (Glia Impact Hub).

●     Contract: Full-time, 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. The position allows partial flexibility to work both in the office and remotely.

●     Availability: Immediate
