About Startup Moldova Foundation

Startup Moldova Foundation is a leading organization supporting the development of Moldova’s startup ecosystem. We work with startups, founders, investors, corporate partners, public institutions, donors, and international organizations to create opportunities for Moldovan startups to grow, access new markets, attract investment, and scale internationally.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and execution-oriented Projects Coordinator to support the implementation of Startup Moldova’s programs and projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making things happen, keeping multiple activities on track, coordinating people and processes, and turning plans into results.

The role combines project coordination, startups, trainers and mentors engagement, event and program delivery, partner communication, administration, and project monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of projects and programs, including timelines, tasks, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate communication with startups, participants, trainers, experts, partners, and suppliers.
  • Manage application, selection, onboarding, and participant communication processes.
  • Coordinate workshops, trainings, mentoring sessions, study visits, pitching events, and other project activities.
  • Organize event and program logistics, including venues, suppliers, participants, travel, materials, and schedules.
  • Support project administration, procurement, contracts, and supporting documentation.
  • Track project budgets, KPIs, results, and implementation progress.
  • Contribute to project updates, donor reports, presentations, and internal reporting.
  • Maintain project information, documentation, and tasks in Notion and other project management tools.
  • Proactively follow up on actions, identify operational issues, and ensure projects move forward on time.
  • Contribute ideas for new programs, events, initiatives, and other ways Startup Moldova can better support founders and startups.

What We Are Looking For

We care more about your ability to organize, execute, and take ownership than about a specific number of years of experience.

You should be someone who:

  • Is exceptionally organized and comfortable managing many details at the same time.
  • Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
  • Is proactive and does not wait to be reminded about deadlines or next steps.
  • Can independently solve day-to-day operational problems.
  • Is comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with different types of stakeholders.
  • Can coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Pays strong attention to detail, particularly when working with project documentation and budgets.
  • Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is willing to be hands-on: from preparing a project tracker to coordinating participants or solving an unexpected issue during an event.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in project coordination, program coordination, events, startups, NGOs, international development, business support, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Good working knowledge of digital productivity and project management tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, or similar platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Romanian and English are required. Russian is an advantage.
  • Experience working with donor-funded or internationally funded projects is an advantage.
  • Experience working with startups, entrepreneurship programs, innovation projects, or business communities is an advantage.

The Person We Think Will Succeed in This Role

You are someone who naturally asks:

What needs to happen next? Who needs to do it? By when? And what can I do to make sure it actually happens?

You enjoy structure, but you are comfortable operating in an environment where not everything is predefined. You can move between planning a project, communicating with a founder, checking a budget, coordinating a supplier, preparing an event, and following up with a partner - sometimes all within the same day.

Most importantly, you are reliable. When you take responsibility for something, the team knows it will move forward.

And one more thing that matters a lot to us: we want to see your eyes light up when you work with founders. You should be genuinely curious about what they are building, excited to help them move forward, and energized by being part of Moldova’s startup community.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and a short motivation letter to admin@startupmoldova.digital by September 11, 2026 with the email subject: Projects Coordinator.
